Nadia | Spring Portraits

As a photographer and a mom, I understand how important it is to capture the magic of childhood regularly and to not let my little ones grow up too fast. I know that one day, all of the cute little nuances of toddlerhood will fade from my memory (like how toddlers chew and the silliness they bring to just about any moment.) I also know that little ones grow up a little bit every day so it's nearly indistinguishable how big they're getting if you're not taking regular pictures.

My oldest just turned 5 and let me just say that five years old is one of those milestones that just makes you a little forlorn for yesteryear. I look at him and see his chubby cheeks when he was just a year old and how he's morphed into a little boy; he's no longer a baby. We are not going to have any more kids so it's bittersweet.  While I was waiting for him to pick a theme for his annual birthday portrait session, I grabbed some fake flowers and fashioned a flower crown for my little girl.  Here are the results of our little impromptu Spring themed portrait session from my dining room on a cold, snowy day.
