Yes, you read that right! I am moving to the Bible Belt and Land o’ Tornadoes…… Right about now most of you are probably thinking I am off my rocker (maybe I am, but that’s beside the point).
While Tulsa isn’t necessarily the top of the list for most glamorous cities to move to, it is the right choice for me and my little family because that’s where half of my extended family resides – and the cost of living here in Denver is… um… insane. My husband and I have always dreamed of owning a house in the country with a large yard for the kids to play in and unfortunately that just won’t be possible for quite some time with the exploding prices of Denver housing, but it is completely possible in Oklahoma.
I plan to continue my portrait business out there but will be sure to keep y’all informed of my travel dates so you can still book with me when I travel back periodically to visit my Denver family!
At this point, we are expecting to move in July, so you have a little bit of time to schedule with me before the big move (advanced planning is appreciated). Our final departure date will largely be dependent on when our condo sells, so stay tuned for updates!
Also, I am working a part-time job as a hospital newborn photographer at Rose Medical Center during the weekdays so my availability is slightly more limited for the number of sessions I can accept before I leave town. Currently, I am available for sunset sessions on Saturdays and Sundays although alternate plans may be an option for certain types of sessions.
